Canada BioImaging – Southwestern Ontario Chapter
Annual Meeting:  February 2, 2026, 11am - 1pm.

Canada BioImaging – Southwestern Ontario Chapter
Over a decade ago, a small group of downtown Toronto microscopy core facility managers started meeting informally once or twice per year to discuss everything from user management (“dealing with difficult customers”) to instrument maintenance (“are service contracts worth it?”) to latest techniques and technologies (FRET, Airyscan, Deconvolution, STED, Minflux, …).  Today the group has expanded well beyond Toronto with 20+ participants from Oshawa to Hamilton to Guelph.  By rebranding ourselves as the Southwestern Ontario Chapter of Canada BioImaging, we’re hoping to attract more interested microscopists from the region as well as connect with the broader Canadian community.

Hosted by:  James Jonkman, Advanced Optical Microscopy Facility (AOMF), University Health Network, Toronto, ON, CANADA

Registration and fees: None
Simply contact james.jonkman@uhn.ca to let him know you would like to attend.  Lunch will be provided at no charge – just let James know if you have any dietary restrictions.  An optional hands-on STED workshop (1pm to 3pm) will explore checking STED alignment using beads and benchmarking resolution (no charge)
